A superb design from James Braid, an excellent layout complimented with an extensive and modernised clubhouse and accompanying golf facilities, roughly half an hour by train from London and just fifteen miles from the Dartford Crossing on the M25.

Our 6009 yard, par 68 golf course was designed by the legendary 5 time Open Championship winner James Braid as mentioned above in 1922 and represents a true golfing challenge that has stood the test of time. Despite the relatively short yardage it has been affectionately described as the "longest short course" you will ever play.

The 384 yard first hole slopes downhill, where a fairly straightforward tee shot, just left of centre to allow for a second shot down the full length of the green The tee shot should be played just over the ridge and not too far, to avoid and obstruction from the trees guarding the left hand side of the green.

The 5th hole is a long par 4, 482 yards in length which used to be a par 5. Now the stroke index one hole, your drive must get over the hill off the tee or there is no chance of going for the green with your second shot as it protected by a stream which run’s in front.

The 14th hole is perhaps one of the best on the course for many players. A 463 yard par 4 which runs steeply downhill from the tee, with a ditch on the left and out of bounds on the right. You will need to get a nice tee shot away to play to a green nestled in the corner with danger all round.

The 16th hole is a great par 4, measuring 418 yards played all up hill. Tree lined on both sides, with a sloping fairway to the left which has a ditch which runs all the way up most of the hole. The second shot is always further than it looks so it’s important not to under club, before you get to a two tier green which is surrounded by grass bunkers.

The 17th hole starts with a tee shot over a small ravine for the male golfer, with gardens all down the left and thick tree’s to the right. It’s not a long hole at 336 yards so many will opt for an iron off the tee, before an elevated second shot to the green below, making sure not to miss the green to the right as the slope can take the ball away to the tree’s.

The 18th is a great finishing hole in the form of a 156 yard par 3 up to the clubhouse. Getting the right club off the tee is all important as the green is large and very tricky, which slopes left to right as you approach it.
